The role of the Discussion Group Leader is to provide both leadership and an example to students as they participate throughout the four days of the Intensive. It is the Discussion Group Leader who helps to set the spiritual climate for the week, as well as the learning environment for the class time.
In addition, Discussion Group Leaders will be assigned a group of participants with whom they will meet for approximately 30–45 minutes following several of the teaching sessions. The Discussion Group Leader’s role during this time will be to facilitate discussion of the truths presented and to help students be pro-active in applying these truths to their lives.
Discussion Group Leaders should plan to arrive in time for the training session, which usually takes place from 1–4 pm the first day of the Intensive (Because schedules may vary, please refer to each schedule as they are posted, under each Intensive, for the exact times). Unless otherwise approved, the Discussion Group Leader should plan on being present for the entire Intensive.
